Using Loctite to Secure Screws on Nuvo 10.9" Case
Securing Case Screws with Loctite 425 Assure
Follow these steps to properly secure the case screws using Loctite 425 Assure.
Materials Needed
- Loctite 425 Assure
- Case screw
- Allen 6-hex H2.5 mm driver
Step 1: Apply Loctite
Apply one small drop of Loctite 425 Assure directly into the screw hole.
Tip: Only use a small amount. Excess threadlocker is unnecessary and can make cleanup more difficult.
Step 2: Insert the Screw
Immediately place the screw into the hole after applying the Loctite.
Important: Do not leave the screw sitting in the hole without tightening it. The Loctite can begin to bond, making it more difficult to install the screw properly.
Step 3: Tighten the Screw
Using an Allen 6-hex H2.5 mm driver, tighten the screw until it is fully seated and secure.
Tighten the screw promptly after inserting it to ensure the threadlocker cures only after the screw is fully installed.
